Personal Biography

In the past 14 years, I have intensively taught both in the private sector and for leading international educational institutions including the London School of Economics (LSE), University of Oxford, and Sciences Po. During my 10-year tenure at the LSE, I taught a wide range of modules across 3 departments and I received a total of five teaching awards: two teaching awards from the Economics department, two teaching awards from the Management department and one student-led teaching excellence award for Innovative Teaching. I hold a BA in Economics and Mathematics from the American University in Bulgaria, an MSc in Economics from LSE, an MPhil and an DPhil in Economics from Oxford. My doctorate was under the supervision of Prof. Steve Bond.   

Research and Teaching

My research focused on corporate investment and the role of financing constraints. However, my interests are broad and include Portfolio Management, Industrial Organization, Pricing Theory and its applications. Some of the modules I have taught at the undergraduate level include: Economics Analysis of the EU, Location and Spatial Analysis, Econometrics: Theory and Application, Managerial Economics, Corporate Strategy, Marketing, Intermediate Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics and Finance. At graduate level I have taught Econometrics, Managerial Economics and Quantitative Analysis in Management.
