The College is saddened to learn of the death of Arthur Scace, Honorary Fellow, at the age of 81. A Canadian, Arthur came up to Corpus as a Rhodes Scholar in 1961 to read Law. He went on to become senior partner in the most important law firm in Canada and was a leading figure on the Rhodes Committee in that country. He was a major figure in civic life in Toronto and beyond and an indefatigable supporter and promoter of good causes. He and his wife Susie were regular visitors to the College, returning to Oxford every Trinity term for events at Rhodes House. Our deepest sympathies go out to Susie and members of Arthur’s family.
