Personal Biography

Prior to coming to Oxford in 2020, I was a commercial solicitor at an international law firm advising on tax, funds management, and class actions. I was also a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Sydney (2016–2019), a Teaching Fellow in Equity & Trusts at the University of New South Wales (2019–2020), and Tipstaff (Researcher) to the Hon. Justice Julie Ward, the Chief Judge in Equity and a Judge of Appeal of the Supreme Court of New South Wales (2017). I hold a Master of Law with first class honours from the University of Cambridge and degrees in law and history from the University of Sydney.

Research and Teaching

I teach Trusts and Land Law on the BA in Jurisprudence here at Corpus. I also teach Advanced Property and Trusts for students on the BCL. My research mainly in the areas of property, trusts, insolvency, and legal history.

My doctoral thesis is titled ’The Equitable Lien: Credit, Security, and Priority in English Law and Economy, 1700-1925’. The thesis is supervised by Professor Joshua Getzler and Professor Ben McFarlane. My research is funded by the Justice Peter Hely Scholarship (University of Sydney) and the Milsom Studentship in English Legal History (Selden Society).
