Andrew Glyn Fellowship Endowment Celebration - 27 June 2022

The event held on 27 June to celebrate having passed the milestone of raising £1 million towards securing the Andrew Glyn Fellowship in Economics was a huge success. The Fellowship is named in memory of the late Andrew Glyn, Fellow and Tutor in Economics from 1969 until 2007. All those who generously donated to the fund were invited to a Drinks Reception and a Panel Discussion, chaired by Professor Wendy Carlin, Andrew's widow and Professor of Economics at University College London, during which some of Andrew's colleagues and students considered his impact on economic scholarship and the lives of his students. We were pleased to have Professor John Campbell (PPE, 1976), the Rt Hon Ed Miliband (PPE, 1989), Professor Margaret Stevens, and Mr Martin Wolf (PPE, 1965) join the discussion. Martin Wolf, Chief Economics Commentator at the Financial Times, described the discussion as one of the most stimulating and moving panels in which he has participated.
