Modern Collections, The Spencer Building and the Old Library Wing

Intro

Inspiring and comfortable spaces to support study, research and learning.

The Library is normally open to members 24 hours a day. Its collections support all undergraduate courses taught at Corpus, as well as providing research level material in many subjects.

The original first-floor library – ‘the old library’ – has book presses (bookcases) dating from the late 16th/early 17th centuries and is still in use today.

In the autumn 2024, The Spencer Building, a purpose-built library for readers and collections, opened its doors to members.  In 2025, the original library, and the modern collections held there, will be accessible via the Spencer Building.
