Two Corpus students are heading to Stanford in September
Cânâ Kussmaul and Lily McDermott have been selected to receive the Kathleen Lavidge Bursary to attend Stanford University for three weeks in September.
The bursary is an an all-expenses paid residential course to Stanford University home campus in Palo Alto, California The course will form part of Stanford’s ‘Sophomore College’ programme, which enables undergraduates entering their second year to study a subject in depth, under the guidance of a senior Stanford academic. Cânâ and Lily are two of the six students chosen to receive the bursary from the three participating Oxford colleges, this was following a two-step application process.
Cânâ's course is titled The Cult of Happiness: Pursing the Good Life in America and China and Lily's is A New Millennial Mix: The Art & Politics of the "Mixed Race Experience"
