Schools Science Prize
We are delighted to be running our annual Schools Science Prize, for which the categories this year are Biochemistry, Chemistry and Medical Sciences. Students from Year 11 and 12 are invited to enter, and the deadline for submissions is May 5th. Full details of the prize, including the questions for each category, can be found on our website: http://www.ccc.ox.ac.uk/Schools-Science-Prize/.
Legal Reasoning Prize
As part of a new initiative, we are launching an annual prize in Legal Reasoning Prize. Open to sixth form students, this prize requires entrants to engage with a legal document and summarise their responses to it. Full details can be found here: http://www.ccc.ox.ac.uk/Legal-Reasoning-Prize/.
In addition to our new Legal Reasoning Prize, we are also delighted to be running our first Law Residential Event. Aimed at Year 12 students, this will take place on June 27-28th 2017. Running from mid-morning on the 27th, accommodation will be provided for attendees that evening to allow them to attend the university open day on the 28th. The event itself will consist of talks and workshops to give a taste of the academic study of Law, with plenty of opportunity to meet tutors and current students. Full details here: http://www.ccc.ox.ac.uk/Law-Residential/.
Once again, we are running our annual Teachers’ Conference here in Oxford. This will take place on June 20th, and will consist of information on workshops on all elements of the Oxford admissions process as well as discussion and sharing of best practice on the best ways to support high achieving students considering an application to a top university. The event is open to teachers/advisors in the maintained sector and is free to attend, includes lunch, and has a limited number of bedrooms available to those travelling further. Information is online here: http://www.ccc.ox.ac.uk/Teachers-Conference/.
