The historic panelled Tudor Hall can accommodate up to 100 people. Most  meals are served at the table,  but conference lunches are often in buffet form;  there is the option of self service if you prefer. A banquet in Corpus Hall (managed by John Jackson, Hall and SCR Manager) is an occasion to be savoured, remembered, and recounted. Drinks receptions can be catered for in private rooms or (in good weather) on the terraces or in the gardens, and the Beer Cellar Bar may be open during normal licensing hours (or beyond by arrangement).

Corpus is a small residential college, and as such we do generally provide a high standard of service. However, our staffing levels do not compare with commercial hotels, and therefore prompt attendance at meals is politely requested and much appreciated.

Normal meal times are:

Breakfast 8.15am
Lunch 1.00pm
Dinner 7.00pm

Banquets or Conference Gala dinners may start at 7.30pm, and if the College is occupied by only one conference then meal times may be adjusted, but dinner cannot normally start later than 7.30pm.

We are proud of the standard of food and service at Corpus, and are confident that conference delegates will enjoy the traditional good table for which Oxford colleges are renowned. We are very happy for you to leave menu selection to us, but Michael Curran, the College Manciple (the traditional title of the College Head Chef), will be pleased to compose menus for you and your delegates. We prefer to plan menus for each function and conference individually and will always accommodate any particular dietary requirements.

The College has an extensive wine cellar, and once you have selected a menu, then we will be happy to guide you in selecting the appropriate wine to complement the chosen dishes.

Beer Cellar Bar

The traditional basement bar equipped with table football, darts and jukebox will bring back happy memories of those student days! It has always been a lively venue for celebrating both end of year exams, as well as end of conference occasions. It may be open on request within the following hours, but the College reserves the right to review this arrangement if the number of delegates making use of this facility is uneconomic.

College Bar Hours - 12.30 to 2.00pm
6.00 to 11.00pm
Sunday 6.00 to 10.30 (No extension)

An extension to midnight may be arranged on one night of the conference.
