Activities
Involvement in Chapel
Volunteers are always needed to read lessons and lead intercessions. If you would like to contribute to the life of the Chapel in this way, please contact the Lector, Chapel Wardens or the Chaplain.
Christian Organisations
There are a number of Christian organisations associated with Corpus, reflecting the variety of traditions in the College community and addressing wide areas of interest in prayer, theological study and social justice. Please contact the appropriate representative listed on the Contact Information page to learn more about the Roman Catholic Chaplaincy in Oxford and the Oxford Christian Union.
Charity and Civic Involvement
In Michaelmas and Hilary Terms, the Chapel collections went to support the work of The Gatehouse, an Oxford-based charity providing food, shelter and company to Oxford's homeless population. The Gatehouse sent a letter of appreciation for the Chapel's continued support, which is displayed on the Chapel noticeboard.
Many Corpus students are active volunteers at The Gatehouse, helping their efforts to aid the homeless. The Gatehouse is always in need of people who can commit just a few hours a month or more. More information is available on their website, www.oxfordgatehouse.org. Information about how to become involved with The Gatehouse and other local voluntary organisations is also available from the Chaplain, the Chapel's outreach and mission representative.
