Student Life

Corpus is uniquely placed within the city of Oxford to provide students with a homely yet exciting living environment.  Adjacent to the beautiful and expansive Christ Church Meadow and the bustling city centre, life at Corpus offers both tranquility and activity in equal measure, and the opportunity to take advantage of all that Oxford has to offer.

Within College, high quality, affordable accommodation is combined with an energetic undergraduate community. Our students enrich the life of the College, pursuing wide ranging interests including drama, sports, music and debating. In conjunction with this, the College provides undergraduates with a beautiful Junior Common Room in which to relax and socialise; a lively College Bar; a performance space in the form of our auditorium and generous sporting facilities including a squash court, boathouse and easy access to a well-equipped sports ground.

Within this section of the website, we aim to give you a taste of what daily life is like for Corpus undergraduate students and the exciting opportunities that being at Corpus opens up for our students.

On our Subject Ambassadors page, our undergraduate students share their experiences of life at Corpus and we invite you to contact them to find out from them first-hand about the benefits of studying and living at this unique institution.

The JCR have produced a video showing a typical Corpus student's day, including a lecture, a tutorial, meals in Hall, and extra-curricular activities. 'A Day in the Life of an Oxford Student' can be view on the Corpus JCR's YouTube channel. A further three videos have recently been added, discussing the experiences of some of our first year students, and the responses from our undergraduates when asked to descibe Corpus in one word.
