Dr Maltby To Speak At The Bloxham Festival of Faith & Literature

Dr Maltby is speaking at the Bloxham Literary Festival about her book project Anglican Women Novelists: Charlotte Bronte to PD James.

By her own letters, which makes her story true.

Why are there so many Anglican women fine novelists? From Charlotte Bronte to P.D. James, from Dorothy L. Sayers to Barbara Pym, from Charlotte Yonge to Rose Macaulay?  Who were these women and what do they have in common?  Judith Maltby and Alison Shell (who are editing a new collection of essays on the subject for Bloomsbury), will be discussing this along with two other contributors, Jane Williams and Francis Spufford.  Chaired by contemporary Anglican novelist Catherine Fox.
