Corpus Fellows Interviewed About Tuition Fees

Over 700 academics from Oxford and Cambridge have signed an open letter to Business Secretary Vince Cable and Universities minister David Willetts, criticising government plans to rush ahead with a complete metamorphosis of the fees system. Under current proposals many universities could charge students tuition fees of up to £9,000 per year.

A number of Corpus academics signed the letter, including Professor Stephen Harrison and Dr Tim Whitmarsh who were subsequently interviewed by Newsnight about their views on the proposals.

The letter and list of signatories can be viewed at The Independent online.
