Current readers

The modern library is open to current members of the College, on a reference basis, 24 hours a day.  Authorised readers may borrow books, DVDs and CDs, and DVD drives ONLY when the Issue Desk is open.

All College members can find full information about using the Library, including current Issue Desk opening hours etc. on the Corpus Library site in Weblearn.

For those unable to access these pages:

The Issue Desk is normally open:

Term-time:
Monday to Friday 9 am to 1 pm, 2 pm to 6 pm and 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm
Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm

Trinity Term 9th Week 23-29 June 2019: Monday-Friday 9 am to 1 pm and 2 to 6 pm

Long Vacation: July and September Monday to Friday 9 am to 1 pm and 2 to 5 pm

There will be no Issue Desk service in August 2019.  Please email library.staff@ccc.ox.ac.uk with the details of books you would like to borrow, and these will be left for collection from the Lodge.

Library closures 2019:
The lower library will be closed to readers 5-30 August due to maintenance work.  Please contact library staff if you like any books to be fetch for you.

The entire Library will be closed to all readers 19-30 August for essential maintenance.

Corpus holdings can be found under Collections and Catalogues.  College members wanting access to early printed books, manuscripts or the Archives should consult the web pages for Visiting Readers and Special Collections.  The Imaging Services pages should answer initial enquiries about obtaining and using images from items in the special collections.

Library and Archive annual closures:

Please note the College is closed between Christmas and New Year, and over the four day Easter weekend, which means the Library and Archives are closed and not available to any readers during those periods. In addition, the Library building is usually closed for two weeks in August for stock checks and maintenance work.  Appointments to consult the special collections may be available; readers should consult the relevant pages and then contact staff to check availability.
