There will be no formal papers, instead the day will be organized around the discussion of short texts by theorists including Jacques Rancière, Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick, Bracha Ettinger and Paul Ricoeur. We will touch on the areas of feminism, psychoanalysis, queer theory, political theory, narrative theory and post-colonialism and their relevance to classical criticism.

Speakers: Katie Fleming (Queen Mary, London), Demetra Kasimis (Yale), Genevieve Liveley (Bristol), Daniel Orrells (Warwick), Phiroze Vasunia (Reading), Ika Willis (Bristol).

Attendance is free and open to all, but please reserve your place in advance. Lunch will be available for a charge of £10.

Please e-mail Miriam Leonard or Tim Whitmarsh to register for the workshop and receive any pre-circulated material.
