Corpus Christi College Oxford

Centre for Ethics and Philosophy of Law

Founded in 2002, the Oxford Centre for Ethics and Philosophy of Law is a collaborative venture between the Merton Street colleges, Corpus Christi, Merton and University. Two Corpus Fellows (Professor John Broome and Dr John Tasioulas) serve on the Executive Committee, and the College President, Professor Richard Carwardine, serves on the Advisory Committee to the Centre.

The Centre exists to encourage and support advanced work in moral and legal philosophy, not only in Oxford but also nationally and internationally. The main activity of the Centre is the planning and hosting of lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences involving academic visitors to Oxford. More information about the activities of the centre, including a schedule of forthcoming lectures are available from the Centre's website.
